MARGRIET VAN SCHIJNDEL

Biography
Margriet van Schijndel has over 20 years of experience working with research programs and coordination. Within EAISI, she leads the Program Manager Mobility, using AI as a powerful tool for complex mobility issues; the intertwining of user-centric, sustainable, safe and smart mobility solutions. In her role at TU/e, she works with researchers to expand national and European collaborations. Her field of work includes e.g. large naturalistic driving studies, evaluation and validation methodologies, large scale Field Testing, ITS, safety, vulnerable road user protection, and sustainability aspects. She’s engaged in European networks EARPA, ALICE, ERTRAC, and Board member to the CCAM Partnership.

ALESSIO FILIPPI

Biography
Alessio Filippi (Member, IEEE) graduated in telecommunication engineering from the University of Padova, Italy, in 2002. He received the Ph.D. degree from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern under the supervision of Prof. P. W. Baier in 2005 as an external PhD candidate from Siemens, Munich, Germany. In 2005, he joined Philips Research and continued working on modulation and demodulation techniques for wireless communications, with a particular focus on synchronization and channel estimation algorithms for broadcast multi-carrier systems. Since 2012, Dr. Filippi is with NXP Semiconductors and has extend his research interest to car to car communications and automotive radar.
